EVENT CALENDAR

In the Kingdoms of Avalance and Ashax, the month system works a little different than ours. The months are counted by the moon cycle and the names of the months all reflect certain events or practices that are common during that particular moon cycle and time of the year. The months are listed here, together with the names we use for them.

New Moon (January) - The new year sets in, cold winds keep blowing (Winter)
Sparse Moon (February) - The last moon until the promise of spring sets in, resources are often at its lowest in this moon (Winter)
Dawn Moon (March) - The nights get shorter and the sun rises earlier, warm winds are blowing in. (Spring)
Flowering Moon (April) - The fields spring to life and flowers start blooming. (Spring)
Sowing Moon (May) - The fields are planted and crops start growing (Spring)
Bright Moon (June) - The days are long and warm in this time of year (Summer)
Scorching Moon (July) - Generally the hottest time of the year in Avalance. (Summer)
Bountiful Moon (August) - The crops are harvested and food is often plentiful (Summer)
Rain Moon (September) - Autumn sets in and the rains come down on Avalance. (Autumn)
Dusk Moon (October) - The days are starting to grow shorter (Autumn)
Arid Moon (November) - The trees have lost all its leaves, the birds have left for warmer continents and animals went into hibernation (Autumn)
Dark Moon (December) - The nights are long and dark this time of year. (Winter)
