TRIVIA
There are some facts about Avalance and the world of Forged in Fire that do not fit into any other category, but still deserve to be named to serve as an inspiration to your characters and roleplaying experience. These facts are listed here as trivia. Please do have a look in here for some interesting knowledge of the world.
● The world of Forged in Fire has a medieval fantasy setting, meaning the art of reading and writing is only for the elite. Wealthy families will make sure their members can read and write, the same goes for royalty and people that hold important positions. However, your average blacksmith (example) will probably be illiterate and unable to read or write, except for maybe the most basic things.
● Gunpowder has not yet been invented in the world of Forged in Fire, meaning there are no guns or cannons, not even primitive ones. To attack from a distance people use things like: bow and arrow, crossbows, harpoons and catapults.
● In Avalance the children born of parents that are not married are considered bastards and do not receive the last name of their father or mother. Instead, there are a few set names that bastard children are called. These are: Winter (Highlands), Autumn (Glade), Spring (Evergreen), Summer (Crownlands), and Ash (Ashax).
● The beginning of each season is celebrated throughout the land. Originating from the Sun and Moon Faith, now a get together for those of noble and common birth. Celebrated with drinks and many foods.
