The darkness clawed his way into the depths of every part of the forest. Even the mind. The wind had been carrying whispers of barbaric raiders. The embrace of a melancholic forest found its way into even the hearts of the smallest creatures. It was a lonely trail of big steps Tuli had left behind. Only those who did not fit in anywhere else, would find these particular tracks comforting. The mere shapes would be able to lift their spirits. Thinking about what kind of person could leave these, could be trusted by those who were cast out. At the end of the tracks we see a large man, sitting on a log. Leaning forward, almost looking like a big snowball. He was staring at something. On his face, rested the warm glow of a quiet fire. The kind of fire that was lit from a lantern, inside of a little snow house. Just three little holes were nice enough to let the light of the lantern pierce out. The rest of the light had to force its way through the snow itself. It looked magnificent. Things were so very uncertain. He was often called certain. People saying they knew exactly what he was all about. And then he felt lonely. They always got it wrong. The compliments, and even the insults would make him feel like he was not seen. Think that he was not know. He may not even exist outside his own mind. But his soul sure did. Even in the darkness you can discover many things. At some point he thought he saw a little shadow, walk in front of the fire. A little invisible creature of course. Someone not used to showing themselves. Either too shy, or too afraid. He always imagined them sitting next to them anyway. But he could never tell for sure. That’s what he loved about them.

She might have been better of staying inside the castle in the dark. But she did love to be able to go out for a walk sometime or she would use her spiritwalking ability to go inside Lunar, her snowy owl to be able to let the bird fly and hunt during the night. However if she did that she would normally stay in the castle herself and fly the bird from there. This time she herself was walking carefully through the snow, all too aware that there might be dangers lurking about. She was carrying a torch however so she would at least be able to see where she was going. That's when she found them, quite big footprints if you asked her, but she was quite certain that they were human. After all she did know all the animal footprints here. She started following the trail, wondering what or who she would find at the end. Soon enough she found a man sitting on a log. He was definitely not small, that was the first thing she noticed. She was used to seeing Tyrr, but this man seemed to be even bigger. "Hello?" She said questioningly. Not knowing how the other would react or if she had disturbed anything.

The lantern whispered. There's another soul coming. Tuli frowned. Do you mean another fire? Yes. The frown faded away. Tuli decided that he would look at his snowlight for as long as he could, until finally, another fire disturbed the ambiance. Yet, Tuli didn't look at the wanderer, until she had asked him a question. A most peculiar one. He had never heard anyone use a greeting be asked as a question before. Then he saw her eyes, and he knew. She simply had been uncertain about something. Maybe about talking to him. Then he stood up. His size was exceptional, compared to hers. Good thing he wasn't standing near her or she might have been intimidated by it. "Mind that you don't step on the creeps." They were small. And some were not fast enough to dodge stamping feet. Then he picked up another log and placed it next to his. He sat back down again. He wanted the other to sit on the log next to him. He turned his gaze back at the snow covered lantern. "Do you like it too?" He asked honestly.

Once he stood up it only confirmed for her that the man was indeed bigger than Tyrr and quite a bit too. The first thing he said though confused her. The creeps? What did he mean? "Creeps?" For a moment she let her eyes wander to the ground, maybe there was something there, but she didn't see. The man picked up a log and placed it besides the one he had been sitting on. He didn't invite her to sit next to him, but she assumed that that was what the log was for. So she sat down on the log once the man had sat down again too. She followed his gaze, which went to the snow covered lantern. Snow somehow comforted her most of the time, unless of course it was something like a snowstorm. Because of the snow covering the lantern, the light seemed a little more playful than just a simple lantern. "I do, the snow changes the light." She answered him honestly, not knowing what else to say.

The snow sang a song about a woman who sat down on a log, next to a very tall man. The real way to understand things is to utilize senses normal people don't know about. Understanding, is a sense. The snow's song faded and gave room to a solo act. About a woman who liked the snowlantern the giant had made. "Yes." He said, feeling inclined to talk about the creeps. "Creeps are creatures." He said. "Either too shy, lonely or shunned to live where most people live." He could only imagine how many would be sitting here with them right now. Not showing themselves, or being forced to be invisible. He didn't mind that about the creeps. He could see them in different ways anyways. And sometimes he felt that they needed someone like him. One day, one would turn visible, and he would not know the reason. But he would know that the creep would be seen. Because, what is the point of being visible, when there is nobodyto see you anyway? He rarely had that problem himself. He always stood out. Well, he was looked at. Rarely ever, he was actually seen. But that was the way it was.

She did not know whether these creeps were real or not, but this man seemed to think they were and that they were just not showing themselves. If they really existed, she might have stepped on a few already, knowing how much she hunted in this forest. But she did pay a lot of attention to her surroundings while hunting, so if they existed wouldn't she have noticed it already? "Have you ever seen one?" That might be best to ask first, since if the man had never seen one before they might not even exist. But if he had seen one, she might want to see one for herself sometime. If there was another creature living in this forest she would really like to know about it, since she thought she already knew the whole forest. She came here almost every day, so she was a bit surprised there was something she might not know about yet.

Yes he sees them. He had just explained that. He knows who they are, and why they are the way they are. But that was not what she meant by 'seeing' them. She meant it in the way one sees a mountain or a deer. He was never sure if he saw them in the literal sense. He only ever thought he saw glimpses of them. "Yes. In the same way a mother knows her child is doing well, or in danger, even from miles and miles away." The next time he blinked, his eyelids felt heavy. "No. In the same way a hunter shoots at their pray." He felt himself grow sad just by answering that. Which is not very philosophical at all. He tore his gaze off of the snow lantern and looked at the lady next to him directly again. He was trying to see, rather than to look. Looking is easy. Seeing is hard. What do you see Tuli? He saw a deer, running after another deer, like it was a predator, which was being hunted down by a Direwolf. The deer in the middle, who was hunting the deer in the front, wasn't looking back. Not because they were occupied hunting the first deer. No. Because they dare not to look back. There was compassion in his eyes now. Maybe, he had been too hard on her. Even if she did not know he was being hard on her in the first place.

So it wasn't literally seeing, it was more a feeling or at least that was what she thought, since otherwise it would not be possible what he was saying here. Yet the last comparison made it a bit easier for her. After all she was a huntress and yes you saw your prey when you shot at it, but you also had to feel in which direction it would go or how it breathed, otherwise you would never hit it. "So it's more like sensing them." She said, hoping she go it right. The man's gaze went from the lantern to her, but yet it seemed like he wasn't looking directly at her. She could not understand however what he was looking at or what he was seeing. She knew that sensing another's presence was a thing, she mostly noticed it while hunting, but also when there was someone else close to her. "Is it like sensing when someone is near without seeing them?" When her senses were heightened while she was inside an animal the sensing was even easier to do.
