No woman should be made to fear that she was not enough.
Lately all she did was stay inside. Her own little encampment, her own little world.. It was lonely sure.. Even though she had her son and her husband it was still.. She couldn't quite describe it. Couldn't handle it all too well. Her son was no longer part of her it felt. Maids took care of him. Maids fed him and she.. she was lucky if she could hold him. This was the life of a high lady, she knew it was. But it felt so utterly.. empty. She was a mother now but the tasks were taken away from her. For some seconds it even felt as if she had delivered someone else's son. Her Mercury was not hers.. maybe he never would be hers. Perhaps that was what had made her mother in law so bitter and protective. They stole your baby where you stood..
Sighing she ran a hand through her white hair and focussed herself. A young woman was inside her hall. A young woman she didn't immediately recognize. So slowly she walked towards the woman a soft smile on her pinkish lips. "Hello. Are you perhaps lost m'am?" She asked the girl respectfully but narrowed her eyes slightly. Anything, anyone was now a threat to her family. To her son and even if she wasn't able to feed him, she was able to protect him, and protect him she would. Even against someone who looked like a child herself.
