Slowly Falling

When a letter arrived he hummed shortly. But as his eyes scanned it he sighed. An attack on Dragonwatch. The Queen was dead, the Prince was abducted or something and he would stay there to mend whatever it was that could be fixed in that family. Standing by their side while he left his own two children here to rot in the North? Fucking asshat. With the paper in hand he had left his office and went to look for the one person he could actually talk to about this. His sister. She had been in Aeldun for a couple of weeks now and it was nice to have her around more than anything. He needed the company truth be told. He needed her, because she had something that he didn’t have. A deeper connection with her surroundings, which was something that he could use to his advantage. Though if anything the death of their mother had taken it’s toll on both the Corbin children and well yes, he just wanted her here close to him.
Finding her in the gardens he softly smiled, walking up to her and sitting down next to her on a blanket that was splayed out over the green grass. ’Hey there, enjoying the nice weather for a change?’ He spoke softly, smiling at her as he looked up at the blue sky. Summer had kicked in and for once the young man couldn’t be happier.

The cold wind tickled her face as she sat down in the comfortable chair. While her face was cold and the wind certainly was nippy, servants made sure that she was comfortably warm beneath all the furs that she wore. It was a pleasant day for the North. She could feel that the sun was warming her face, telling her that it, for once, wasn't cloudly. She could also see, with the minor sight that she had left, that it was quite light outside. It was nice being here in the gardens. She had folded her hands in her lap and just enjoyed the wind and scents of the north. It smelled positively fresh over here and after everything that had happened in Fairview and the Crownlands, she was content with just staying here and heal for a while, all the while her big brother held Aeldun firmly under his control. The loss of their mother left a hole that could never be filled again and still she had trouble eating, fearing that poison might have been slipped again. But otherwise, she was coping. She was doing alright.
Speaking of him.. She raised her head, snapping out of her musings, when she heard footfalls. The way the steps sounded, already made her assume that it was him. She smiled warmly. "Hello Finn, to what do I owe the honour of your visit?" she asked him, smiling. "You certainly chose a nice day to hang out." She sat back again, making herself comfortable.

Maybe it was wrong to actually disturb his sister with the letter their father had sent. But in the end he didn’t want to keep her out of it either. She deserved to know what had happened that much he knew. But still it would foul her mood maybe. And since it was such a beautiful day out, a day were they could actually be outside and enjoy the sun for a change. Would he really mess that up? Nah. He was going to wait. Just a little so he could spend some time with his sister. Which had been way to long already. After their mother had come to pass, things had moved rather quick and he was shipped out to Aeldun of all places. Where she had only joined him a bit later. Yet the young Raven had simply been to busy with ruling the city, getting the brewery up to speed and meeting a whole bunch of people. He had neglected here if anything and he hated himself for it.
As he had sat down next to her he hummed. Smiling at her for a little while. ’Since when is it an honour that your brother comes to visit you hm?’ He chuckled softly, leaning back a little bit before staring up at the sky again. ’One of my gifts that have chosen to out itself since I moved here.’ He joked softly, running a hand through his hair. Enjoying the soft breeze in his face. ’Sorry for not hanging out with you more sis. If anything I wanted to, but I’ve been slammed with work.’
